A Bowl-Shaped Water Wave Energy Harvester Integrated with Self-Powered Motion Sensor
A bowl shaped random ocean wave energy harvester integrated with self-powered motion sensors is newly designed and demonstrated. The proposed bowl path allows fastest descent for the inside magnet ball to generate sufficient electromagnetic energy (peak power:72 mW at 3 Hz) and the interdigital sectored shaped triboelectric sensors allow self-powered measurement of the various wave parameters (frequency, acceleration, and wave direction) for future marine environmental monitoring applications.
